Gamescom 2025: A Recap of Record-Breaking Fun
Gamescom 2025 has come and gone, and what a whirlwind it was! We spent three fantastic days at the heart of the gaming world, packed with meetings, coffee chats, content production, and evening events. It was a perfect opportunity to reconnect with industry friends and colleagues, and make some great new contacts.
The sheer scale of this year's event was incredible. Gamescom 2025 broke visitor records once again, with over 20,000 more attendees than last year. The international presence was also stronger than ever, with 70% of exhibitors coming from abroad and a notable number of trade visitors from the U.S., China, Japan, and Canada.
Our marketing manager tuned into the opening night, which also saw a boost in its online audience:
“While the live performance of Clair Obscur’s soundtrack and the highly celebrated gameplay reveal for Hollow Knight: Silksong were fantastic, there weren't many major announcements that hadn’t already been seen in a previous online showcase. Still, they definitely caught the crowd and the attention. Personally, I think that ONL could benefit greatly from working with influencers like Ludwig or groups like Wholesome Games to improve their show lineup and stay ahead of the curve on announcements!”
Amidst our busy schedule, we took some time to walk the halls and take in the amazing atmosphere. The booths were a sight to behold, many of them beautifully designed to fully immerse visitors into their worlds. From meeting cosplayers at the Borderlands 4 booth to walking through a Japanese temple at Capcom’s Onimusha exhibit, the show floor was a truly fantastical experience.
Of course, our main highlight was the chance to connect with our talented creators and partners. It was a pleasure talking to them about the latest in influencer marketing and talent management.
Cosplayers played a huge role in the various events at Gamescom, and we were so proud to see our booked talents shine. We had the great pleasure of supporting the team behind Crystal of Atlan at the Huawei booth for their 4-hour cosplayer event.
Our Account Manager, Leah Cheng, was there to support the booked creators and the client from planning to execution. She shared a few words about their incredible work:
"All three influencers at the booth were booked through Audiencly, and we supported the client from planning all the way through execution. Our host kaddicosplay did an amazing job moderating the 4-hour program and keeping both the audience and client engaged. Meanwhile, cosplayer har_fie impressed everyone with a perfect 1:1 cosplay of the game’s character — giant sword included! Popular German gaming influencer xShowtime joined to demo the gameplay live and interact with fans."
We also had a fantastic time catching up with MarcelianOnline.
After their great interview with World of Warcraft’s Game Director last year, they were once again invited by Blizzard to livestream from their booth and test out the new WoW housing feature.
They had some kind words to say about our partnership:
"So I think this was one of the major steps in our YouTube careers getting to work with Audiencly, and I do want to shout out Angelo, who was, even before we signed, nagging us about different opportunities… I mean just becoming part of Gamescom, that was thanks to Audiencly, you know, getting to work with a lot of different companies and clients and stuff like that. It was amazing. So I cannot praise them enough."
What a week! We're already looking forward to Gamescom 2026 and all the new connections and opportunities it will bring.
If you weren't able to catch us at Gamescom and want to talk about influencer marketing, don't hesitate to reach out! We'd love to chat.
